Moving House

Moving house is said to be one of the most stressful things that people can do regarding their lives. You are effectively picking up all your life, packing it into boxes and moving to another house. If you have children you must notify the school when they will be leaving and their new school when they start if they are starting a new school.

Get you TV licence sorted out before you move. When you move house you will have to pay the TV licence again as it does not move with you, if you do not do this there are consequences.

Cancel all outstanding accounts like having the milk delivered, paper and other accounts like Sky or magazine subscriptions or have them redirected. 

Empty and defrost your fridge or freezer. If there's still a lot of food in them maybe ask a member of family to store the items for you so you don't waste good food.

People have valuable documents and things such as passports, driving licences, insurance papers, mortgage should be kept in the safest place so you don't loose them. These items are expensive to replace.
Once you have packed all of your belongings and the house is empty. Do another check as you do not want to leave anything behind.

Moving home can be stressful and more so if you have to move from a rented property to your new home which you have paid for.
