How to redecorate on a budget

Decorating your home is expensive and can be done tastefully without spending hundreds of pounds here are some ways in which you can redecorate without breaking the bank. 

Try and revamp the walls with a bright new colour. Paint is a lot cheaper than getting in external painters and decorators to do the job for you. Yes it may take longer but will still look greats and will give you a sense of satisfaction. 

Wallpaper is great but putting it on every wall isn't the trend any more and can look over powering. Why not just out wall paper on one wall like a feature wall not only will thus save you money it will update your home. 

If you have neutral coloured walls and want to liven a room up why not get a coloured throw for your settee and some coloured cushions. Try and match these with paintings and art you have out on the walls this will brighten the wall and make it more modern.

You may have some furniture that you love but is starting to look worn. Sanding down these wooden items and repainting them or re staining them will bring them back to life and safe you money as you don't have to go and buy new furniture.

Lighting is often overlooked and will brighten your home significantly and will change the mood. If you would like to have a great feeling when in your home try having a dimmer switch not only will it save money it will make your home look warm and friendly. 

Having a fabric wall hanging or covering your headboard with a new fabric this is a cheap option and can change the look of your room quickly.

Try buying  second hand furniture. Try to buy things which you can paint or varnish and are in good condition that can stand the test of time.
